Reducing Worry

A research trial aiming to help students reduce worry

and build confidence

We know that

students experience a lot of stress.

Many students talk about being self-critical or having imposter syndrome.

It is not surprising that over 40% of students in recent surveys reported a high level of worry.

We are testing a new self-guided app for students

The content of this app has

already been shown to reduce

worry and increase confidence in

young people.

If this app works well for students,

it can easily be scaled up and help a large number of people.

Take part today to help others in the future

We are comparing students who use the app to students who carry on with their usual support, allocated by chance. This will help us see if the app is better than what is already out there for students.

Participants will complete questionnaires about mental health and wellbeing at the start of the study, and after 3 and 12 months, each taking 15-20 minutes to complete.

If you worry a lot and would like support to feel less self-critical, then this study is for you! It is open to all our partner universities and all UK Universities.
